Marcus Rashford Mural - Withington by Akse (2020)

This mural was unveiled on 6th November 2020 by Akse_p19. Situated on The Coffee House Cafe in Withington, on the Moorfield Street gable end. Manchester United and England striker Marcus highlighted the 'free school meals  during holidays' cause for several weeks, making government change policy. Not once but twice. Akse-P19 is a portrait street artist based in Manchester. He has competed tens of lifelike murals on buildings and walls around Manchester city and its suburbs. We have more examples of Akse_P19's work in this gallery. We added this mural listing to Google Maps as Marcus Rashford Mural on 7th November 2020. Our 360 photographer, Pete Edwards, was the first photographer to capture the Marcus Rashford mural in 360 degrees for Google Street View. We took four 360 images on the day, and these appear on the listing and Google Maps and Street View. It's a striking piece of work, none more so than for its subject, and the causes he has supported. Thank you Marcus Rashford.
