Maen Achwyfan Cross - Holywell
As one Google reviewer commented "Very random just sat in the corner of a field in the middle of the Welsh countryside." - and yes that is exactly what it is - though it is in the middle of a field, accessible via gated path from the nearby road.
Dating from the 10th/11th century this is the tallest 'Wheel cross' in Britain. A thousand year old ancient record breaker.
